Fishing, Dolphin Watching, Snorkelling and Island Cruise
BlueWater Safaris offers private charter of the fastest and best equipped power-boat operating in Bali – the Azura. With seating for up to eight passengers, she offers you the opportunity to explore the oceans around Bali in privacy, avoiding the tourist crowds and offering an exclusive experience.
So whether it’s exploring the spectacular coastlines of Nusa Penida, sport-fishing, getting close up to hundreds of dolphins, diving, snorkeling or simply stopping over for a lazy lunch on a perfect island paradise, an ocean adventure with BlueWater Safaris is as good as it gets!
Fishing
The Azura is fully equipped for trolling and bottom fishing a wide range of locations around Bali and Nusa Penida. Casting and jigging equipment is available for rent at additional cost. The high speed of the boat allow you to reach the fishing grounds quickly, optimising use of time, and the state-of-the-art GPS system and fishfinder also significantly contribute to fishing success.
For trolling we use 50lb Shimano tackle, with artificial lures in a variety of colours. These have proved successful for a wide range of game-fish, including mahi-mahi, wahoo, spanish mackeral, trevalley, barracuda, yellowfin, dog-tooth tuna.
For bottom fishing we use fresh bait on 25lb gear, typically targetting snapper, grouper, dogtooth tuna, amber-jack among others.
Although there is ample space on board for eight passengers, we can realistically only have four people actively fishing at one time to avoid tangles.
NB: Snorkelling can also be included on these trips at no additional cost.
Dolphin Watching
Forget trecking all the way up to Lovina for dolphin watching – the trip off the south coast of Nusa Dua is much more convenient and the are far fewer boats disturbing the dolphins. The high speed of the Azura enables you to find the location in good time, and spend longer getting up close and personal to hundereds of spinner dolphins – so called because of their habit of leaping and spinning in dramatic displays of aerobatics!
Dophin watching tours run from 8.00am to 11.00 – giving an hour longer than most other operators.
Prices include return hotel transfers, crew, insurance, soft drinks.
Snorkelling and Island Cruise
Explore the spectacular coastlines and abundant marine life of Penida, Ceningan and Lembongan Islands with a half or full-day cruise. With space for up to eight adults, the Azura takes you along the southwest coast of Penida where the perpendicular cliffs drop 100m into the ocean, around secluded bays, to Bat Rock (home to giant fruit bats) and dramatic geological features such as horseshoe rock.
We also take you to some of Lembongan’s best snorkelling spots, where you can explore the marine life and venure onto the peaceful islands.
NB: Fishing can also be included on these trips at no additional cost.
Prices include return hotel transfers, all equipment, crew, insurance, soft drinks, snacks and ice-boxes, with picnic lunch on full-day trips. Lunch stop on Nusa Lembongan is also an option on full-day chaters.
